In Feb. '97 he lead the planting of 21 Oak Trees on the hiking trail at Rocky Peak and the building of a bench that over looks the entire Simi Valley.

After planting the trees they will have to be watered and fertilized through the summer months.
He spent all most 1 year driving water up to the trees due to a lack of rain in the area that would have sustained the trees naturally

In Mar. '97 he lead
the building of an Adobe wall next to the Pico Adobe historical home and the building of patio cover by lashing together wood branches.

Building the adobe wall
is intended to hide a modern A/C unit and using adobe was to make it look authentic.

a benefit concert to help the needy.


He set up a concert at the local Elk's lodge, that required people to bring in can goods in exchange for a seat at the concert

Sean's project involved digging out a part of the trail that was constantly being washed away by the creek and adding pipes to allow the water to flow through.
He also choose to make wooden signs to better mark the trail areas for those who visit

Adam's Eagle Scout Project was rehabilitating the hillside trail at Placerita Canyon Nature Center

Over time the trail has washed away from the rains worn down from use and lack of upkeep.

Adam's project will restore it to it's original condition and by having a clearly marked trail, help to keep the surrounding areas from eroding.

From the moment Josh looked into an Eagle Project he showed his leadership ability.
He chose one that would fit all the troop, Tenderfoots to Eagles.

He wanted a project that would leave a lasting benefit to the community, so he chose a trail that not only needed trail reconditioning, but needed some railroad ties that would help make it easier to walk on and help to deter erosion

John had to actually plan 2 Eagle projects. After many hours of planning and making of blueprints he had to switch projects due to the lack of material donations to complete it.

His second project was refurbishing a section of trail at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center

The project consisted of cutting back of the overgrown vegetation that had egressed into the hiking trail and refurbishing the trail from years of weather decaying it

Jeffrey's project was held at his high school
The project consisted of organizing a blood drive for the Red Cross Blood Bank.
His project was a huge success collecting far more pints of blood than they had expected
